The demand for innovative and effective cleaning solutions throughout the global market is growing, and NovaSource is building on over a decade of cleaning experience to meet these new opportunities.Job SummaryWe are looking for an Engineering Technician to contribute and take ownership of various mechanical and mechatronic projects related to solar module cleaning. Work will include the full scope of product development, from prototyping, to manufacturing, to assembly, to field testing and product support. This Engineering Technician will work closely with engineers and other team members to develop robotic equipment that meets our functional requirements.Core Job Responsibilities

• Test and implement mechanical design of mechatronic systems from requirements to development to production to commercial deployment
• Test and debug mechatronic systems
• Perform mechanical QA and optimize machine performance
• Provide post-production support to products in the field
• Interface with engineering team to develop new products
• Perform inventory management tasks, including operating forklifts and heavy lifting
• Set schedules and make progress in a small, teamwork-centric environment
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
• The employee frequently is required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Days and hours of work are flexible Monday through Friday, generally 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
• Other Engineering Technician duties or support as assigned or requested.Experience and Skill (Required):
  • Experience with mechatronic systems
  • Experience in CAD/CAM, especially SolidWorks
  • Experience in CNC and manual manufacturing
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of engaging in self-directed learning and remaining productive with minimal direction
  • Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international) is requiredExperience and Skill (Preferred):
    • Experience with mobile mechatronic systems
    • Experience with software testing and verification
    • Experience in manufacturing management and parts sourcing
    • Advanced knowledge of CAD/CAM, including creating models, assemblies, and drawings.,
    • Experience with 3D printing and other advanced manufacturing techniquesPlease note that most roles withing NovaSource's Enhanced Cleaning Solutions team are on location, despite COVID-19.
