APEX is hiring an Engineer 2 to be based in Pleasant Hill or Truckee, CA. Our Pleasant Hill Practice is home to a multidisciplinary team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers who collaborate on a wide variety of project types and environmental contaminants. Your Responsibilities as an Engineer 2: Conduct field sampling of soil, water, air, and building materials Assist with project engineering design. Gather, analyze, and interpret data. Write high-quality technical reports and proposals Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams Actively develop your own career growth What we're looking for: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. HAZWOPER certification. 4 years of related experience with field data collection and technical writing. Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, and the add-on program Civil 3D Excellent technical communication skills; strong attention to detail; field adeptness Good safety record and understanding of safe work practices Experience with waterways and dredging is a plus Why you'll love working for us: Company-subsidized medical and dental.
