Job Description: Manager of Data Science - Fintech RiskIntuit's Consumer Group, including TurboTax, empowers millions of individuals to take control of their finances. TurboTax simplifies tax preparation and leverages data and insights to innovate and enhance our offerings.We are expanding into Consumer Lending within the Consumer Group and seek a strategic leader to manage and develop a decision science team for consumer lending. This role is vital in supporting our lending initiatives and navigating Fintech Risk complexities alongside our core tax business. As a Manager of Data Science in the Fintech Risk team, you will influence product strategy and drive business results.Responsibilities

• Develop advanced statistical models for risk assessment, including risk scores, collections scores, fraud detection, and default probabilities to enhance underwriting and risk management.
• Build predictive models, segmentation frameworks, and experimentation methods; analyze and communicate results to optimize data-driven strategies in consumer lending.
• Provide technical guidance to the team on model utilization and advanced experimentation, including AI/ML techniques.
• Collaborate with credit and fraud risk policy teams to influence strategies, monitor performance, and understand risk, operational, and product concepts to manage portfolio risks.
• Manage multiple scorecard initiatives, supporting the growth and scalability of lending products.
• Drive strategic and cross-functional alignment around data-driven approaches to optimize the lending funnel.Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data science or related fields, with leadership experience in complex projects and decision-making; fintech or lending experience preferred.
• Strong strategic foresight, balancing short-term and long-term priorities in consumer lending.
• 5+ years leading high-performing data science teams, mentoring, and collaborating with executives to impact the company.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong business acumen in customer behavior, predictive modeling, segmentation, and experimentation; AI experience a plus.
• Domain expertise in FinTech, Risk, Financial Services, especially Consumer Lending.
• PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields.
• Experience developing and managing scorecard models for credit, risk, fraud, and consumer vulnerability assessments.
• Proficiency in traditional modeling techniques and AI/ML approaches like gradient boosting and clustering.
