A 250 bed San Francisco Bay Area Medical Center is actively seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator to oversee the general nursing education throughout the acute care units: Medical Surgical, Telemetry and Critical Care.The Acute Care Clinical Nurse Educator will report to the Director of Education and will provide education, while also teaching best practices throughout the Medical Center. The Acute Care Clinical Nurse -Educator will collaborate with departmental managers and directors to provide and schedule unit based education.The Clinical Nurse Educator will focus on the following: orientation, competency program, in-service education, continuing education, career development / role transition and research.The Clinical Nurse -Educator will work throughout the medical center provided best practices and will focus on staff development and lead efforts related to the identification, implementation and evaluation of unit specific education, patient education and evidence - based practice.The Clinical Nurse Educator will promote excellence in nursing as a resource and a role model of the Professional Practice Model: Center of Excellence for the Hospital staff members.
