Walmart Inc., a global leader in retail with a robust web presence, is seeking an experienced Distinguished Software Engineer to enhance and innovate our web technology stack. Located at our Bentonville headquarters, this role is pivotal in driving the technological direction of our web platforms which serve millions of customers worldwide. As a Distinguished Software Engineer, you will lead critical projects, design high-scale web applications, and ensure alignment with our business goals and technology standards. Architect, design, and develop scalable web applications and services. Lead cross-functional teams through end-to-end design and development processes. Drive innovation by exploring new web technologies and software engineering processes. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Maintain and improve code quality through best practices and code reviews. Mentor junior engineers, fostering an environment of growth and collaboration. Monitor performance metrics and ensure compliance with security and data regulations. Expertise in web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js) Strong understanding of backend APIs, microservices, and scalable cloud solutions. Proficiency in software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent leadership qualities and experience in managing software development teams. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or similar agile certifications preferred. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud technology certifications are advantageous.
