Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages. 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. 3 years of experience with developing infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture. Experience in C++, machine learning infrastructure, and distributed systems. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 5 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience in ML infra and systems experience in large scale data processing that involves image/video/audio. Experience developing accessible technologies. Knowledge of LLM, computer vision, etc. Familiar with ML infrastructure and framework, and Google ML platform. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $174,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies. Partner with research teams and Google DeepMind to productize models and technology on the Vertex AI platform, bridging the gap between research and real-world applications. Design and implement cloud APIs and services for model deployment and management, ensuring seamless integration and user experience. This includes monitoring, prober setting, testing, and other critical components for operational excellence. Build infrastructure and services that enable model quality and evaluation processes, ensuring models meet the highest standards of accuracy and robustness. Work closely with product managers to gain deep insights into customer requirements and translate them into product features and enhancements.
