Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field. 2 years of experience with user space networking. 2 years of experience with software-defined networking. 2 years of experience with performance optimization. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Work on a variety of networking features implemented in the User Space Protocol Stack (USPS) and network system daemons. Provide the host networking data-path as part of the solution for many cross-functional team projects. Engage with client teams, design host networking features to solve their problems, and have outsized impact. Prioritize reliability, efficiency, and performance; they are very important to our team. Work on projects that have a broad impact on Google.
