The Parts Department plays a critical role in that mission,
balancing technical accuracy, inventory readiness, and responsive
customer service in a high-trust environment. The Parts Manager is
a key leadership position with direct influence over daily
operations, inventory strategy, and team development. This role is
ideal for a marine parts professional who values doing things the

reputation, relationships, and long-term stability. Requirements
Leadership & Team Management Lead, supervise, and support Parts
Department staff, including Parts Technicians and Warehouse
Personnel Delegate work effectively, provide coaching and
performance feedback, and support professional development Foster a
positive, respectful, and collaborative team environment Ensure
consistent cross-training and knowledge sharing across the
department Department Operations Manage employee scheduling and
ensure front counter and phone coverage Oversee inventory levels
and promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies Generate and
analyze reports related to parts sales, inventory, and department
performance Review and approve new account setups and documentation
Work directly with the manufacturer on new programs and
initiatives. Inventory Management & Strategy Maintain accurate,
real-time inventory tracking through cycle counts and audits
Identify and resolve inventory loss, billing gaps, and obsolete or
slow-moving parts Collaborate with management to liquidate obsolete
inventory when appropriate Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels
and ensure readiness for new product releases Customer Service &
Issue Resolution Serve as the escalation point for customer
concerns and complaints Deliver and reinforce Helmut’s Marine’s
customer service commitment Support front counter and phone
operations as needed Encourage and support positive customer
reviews and follow-up communication Parts Expertise & Technical
Support Provide Tier-2 parts lookup support for complex inquiries
Serve as the primary trainer and subject-matter expert for
inventory and dealer management systems Stay current on marine
parts, accessories, and industry technology Purchasing, Warranty &
Administrative Oversight Oversee Volvo Penta and other parts
purchasing and ensure pricing accuracy Process and manage Volvo
Penta warranty claims and core return programs Maintain accurate
records for sales, credits, returns, and purchases Ensure financial
documentation is complete and accurate prior to submission to
accounting Process Improvement & Strategic Initiatives Lead
continuous improvement efforts within the Parts Department
Collaborate with leadership to implement Volvo Penta initiatives,
including VPIM and E-Commerce Train staff on new systems and
promote adoption with customers Analyze sales and inventory data to
support informed decision-making and growth Government & Contract
Opportunities Monitor GSA and other procurement platforms for
marine parts opportunities Coordinate internal pricing, compliance,

Physical Requirements Retail and warehouse environment Regular
standing, walking, bending, lifting (50 lbs), and climbing Exposure

& Travel Full-time; with a rotating Saturday schedule Occasional
local travel for parts pickup or delivery Required Qualifications
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record Prior retail,
warehouse, or customer service experience Ability to read, write,
and communicate effectively in English Basic math and computer
proficiency Marine dealership service management required Benefits
