Job Description:
- If you've been a sales leader at early-stage SaaS startups,
this is a great opportunity to move into a Head of Sales role where
you will lead all prospecting and closing efforts and report to the
CEO.
- It's a great time to join as you're early enough to have a
significant impact, but not so early that we don't already have a
strong product and repeatable sales process (hundreds of paying
customers, #1 on G2, etc).
- This is a front-line leadership role. You will get -to build an
in-person sales culture at our SF office and get in the weeds by
coaching reps, co-selling larger deals, and doing what it takes to
win. ABOUT PERFECT VENUE Private events and catering make up about
a third of restaurant revenue and are often the highest-margin
revenue stream. However, many restaurants manage this critical
revenue stream using home-brewed manual processes that rely on
poorly organized spreadsheets, cumbersome Word templates, and
handwritten credit card authorizations. Errors can be costly and
severely harm a restaurant's bottom line. In short, restaurants are
managing a sales process without a CRM and losing money as a
result. Big restaurant chains have already recognized this and are
using event management software solutions that are decades old,
complicated, and expensive. This puts local restaurants between a
rock and a hard place when it comes to managing their most
profitable revenue stream. We're changing that. Perfect Venue
exists to help local restaurants compete with big chains. We do
that by providing local restaurants with an affordable and
beautifully designed tool that makes booking events effortless. Our
event management software is just the beginning. We plan to build a
marketplace (-- la Airbnb, OpenTable) to help guests book
restaurants and expand to other types of venues (Hotels, Event
Centers) and other types of businesses (Caterers, Florists) in the
future. We may be biased, but there has never been a better time to

- but this is a phenomenal opportunity for an ambitious sales
leader. You'll be early enough to have a significant impact, but
not so early that we don't already have strong PMF and a repeatable
sales process (hundreds of paying customers, #1 G2, etc). We have
customers nationwide paying hundreds of dollars per month and are
backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, including the 1st
investor in Zoom. We have a very high close rate as our product is
the #1 rated venue management tool on G2.com . Since our product is
essentially a CRM for restaurants, it will feel familiar to you
which makes it easy to learn and sell with conviction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of SDRs & AEs to hit and exceed goals through
effective recruiting, training, and coaching
- Build a world-class in-office sales culture
- Collaborate with growth, product, and customer success leaders
to drive results
- Be flexible! At the end of the day, we're a startup - so things
are always changing ABOUT YOU NEED TO HAVE
- 5+ years sales leadership experience & 3+ years of closing
experience
- First sales leader at a high-growth seed stage SaaS startup and
have built sales teams from the ground up
- SMB and Mid-Market experience
- Strong prospecting experience (list building, email sequences,
cold calling, etc)
- Excited to build an in-office sales culture
- Set high standards and is never satisfied with anything -
ever
- Experience training and coaching reps using Active Listening
Skills NICE TO HAVE
- Worked closely with marketing to develop unified GTM
motions
- You've sold hospitality tech or worked in hospitality in the
past
